Data Science Association Announcements
This Monday, DSA leader Michael Malak is speaking at Spark Summit in San Francisco. You can attend virtually (live-streaming) by registering here. Michael Malak's presentation "Extending Word2Vec for Performance and Semi-Supervised Learning" is on Monday June 15 at 5:30pm PDT / 6:30pm MDT / 8:30pm EDT. Purchase Mike's new book "Spark GraphX In Action" here.
The Data Science Association International Journal of Data Science (IJDS) is calling for papers. The deadline for the next available IJDS issue is August 1, 2015. Guidelines for data science practitioners are more lax than academics: Length between four (4) and eighteen (18) single spaced pages in Word format. If you would like to submit a paper contact IJDS Editor Michael Walker here.
Join us for the global Machine Learning Contest (Award Ceremony December 5, 2015). Contestants register here. Sponsors register here. Contest overview here.
